This is from a recent trip to the Iowa State Fair. I went there knowing exactly what I wanted to photograph. I knew the composition; I knew the angle and the color values; and I knew the ride that I wanted in the composition. I wanted to capture the midway at twilight.
The combination of the vivid yellow, orange, and red lights against the deep blue sky are absolutely beautiful to me. It matches what I visualized days before, but I still don't think I nailed it.
In any event, it was good to revisit night/low-light shooting. More to come.
